New researchers arriving to CISTER/INESC-TEC

CISTER is proud to announce the enrollment of three new very skilled research scientists – Christos Chrysoulas, Ismael Marín Carrión and Raghu Rangarajan.

Christos Chrysoulas received his PhD in Electrical & Computer Engineering from the Electrical & Computer Engineering Dept., University of Patras, Greece in 2009. He received his Diploma in Electrical & Computer Engineering from the Electrical & Computer Engineering Dept., University of Patras, Greece in 2003. He was Adjunct Professor in the Technological Educational Institute of Patras, Hellas and has participated as Senior Engineer in several European research projects. Christos reinforces the CISTER team participating in the European Artemis project Arrowhead.

Ismael Marín Carrión received a PhD in Advanced Computer Science from the University of Castilla-La Mancha (Spain) in 2010. After graduating Ismael moved to the Complutense University of Madrid (Spain), where he worked on several European R&D projects. Ismael joined CISTER to work on parallel and distributed real-time complex event systems in the context of European Artemis project ENCOURAGE.

Raghu Rangarajan received his PhD from IIT Bombay in 2009. He was at Motorola Labs Bangalore, since 2008, working on protocol analysis in data wireless networks. After leaving the Labs, he started a firm consulting in wireless systems design and development. He is currently at CISTER architecting and building sensor network systems and especially, developing low cost solutions using open standards and COTS.
