Moving Wireless Sensing to Mainstream Process Control and Safety

Wireless sensor networks have gained significant adoption in Industrial Process Automation. Most applications to this point have been basic process monitoring and some limited open loop or very slow control applications. As wireless sensing becomes more widely accepted, customers are asking to expand the application space of wireless sensing. Closed loop control and safety instrumented systems (SIS) are next to be adopted and the technology is ready.
